Never before has it been so crucial to get the right messages, to the right people, at the right time. At SLC, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled internal comms professional to join our team on a FTC (covering maternity leave), starting immediately. Given the current circumstances, this role will be largely home-based but you'll be provided with the kit you need to work remotely. As Internal Communication Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting SLC's internal communications strategy, aligned with organisational objectives outlined in our Corporate Plan. You'll support the business to engage colleagues, shaping the content, tone and method of delivery of key operational and organisational messages to a variety of internal audiences To be successful, you'll need significant and demonstrable experience in Internal Communications, preferably in the financial or public sectors. Key Responsibilities: Act as a dedicated point of contact for two key Directorates but supporting a range of others as needed. As part of an annual campaign plan, develop and implement internal communications to drive increased levels of employee awareness, engagement and understanding of SLC’s corporate strategy and business plans. Work in partnership with business contacts to develop communications plans to support local operational communications. Provide communications advice and coaching to SLC business areas on their local communications strategy and tactics. Provide communications planning and delivery to support change projects and business as usual activities. Develop, manage and measure traditional and digital communications channels to drive effective 360 degree communications. Transfer and share knowledge with colleagues to encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the SLC Corporate Affairs team. Act as trusted adviser to the Executive Leadership and Senior Management teams to identify and communicate Directorate, Division and Department news using a combination of channels and techniques. Act as guardian of the internal and external brand ensuring that brand standards and corporate style guidelines are understood and adhered to across SLC. Provide event management at internal and external events such as conferences, managers briefings, roadshows and site visits. The role will require regular travel to SLC sites in England and Wales. There may be times when you will also be expected to carry out other reasonable management instructions or requests to suit the business needs. How do I apply? To be considered for this role you should have the following knowledge, skills and experience: Essential:Significant experience in Internal Communications, preferably in financial services or public sector. Essential: demonstrable experience of creating, running and evaluating internal communication strategies using digital channels. Essential: degree or relevant communications qualification. Essential: membership of recognised industry body eg CIPR. Desirable: skilled in use of latest version of Adobe packages, including InDesign 2018 and Photoshop CS5 or above and Sharepoint 2013 (front end).
