The role in a nutshell
The Commercial Director is responsible for controlling and overseeing all business operations, people and functions within the Retail Marketplace Commercial team.
The Commercial Director is accountable for successfully executing the Retail Commercial strategy in line with the Group full year strategy.
Day to day responsibilities
Commercial strategy and execution
Execute on Global and Regional Retail Marketplace Commercial plans.
Own delivery of Retail Marketplace Member, Revenue, DC and Management objectives as a global and regional level ensuring targets are met.
Ensure an optimum monetisation approach for all onsite and data assets
Provide regular reporting to team members and senior management regarding team performance and goal setting
Ensure you are providing relevant front line market insight back into the business
Capability management & KPI responsibility
Accountable Commercial resources focused on Retail Marketplace - to lead, coach, manage and develop the next tier of leadership
Ensure all teams are skilled in upselling all products and services
Line management of the Category Leaders, Regional leaders and Director of Customer success and sales enablement
Owns delivery of Retail Marketplace Member, Revenue, DC and Management objectives as a global and regional level. Owns delivery of agreed upon volume of members and engagements into the Learning & Employability proposition (Futures)
Develop Commercial plan, in conjunction with the CSO, VP Marketing and VP Product, to achieve Company KPIs globally - New Members, Activation Rate, Engagements and Members.
Strategic partner management
Owns the top 20 global partner strategy, working with the Executive Team to ensure full business engagement with key partners, with the outcome being deeper relationships with priority partners, greater achievement against partnership fundamentals, successful execution against our partnerside distribution plan, and a team incentivised against long term partnership success

Experience & Qualifications
Commercial leadership at an Enterprise grade organisation. Experience leading organisations that have multiple department touchpoints, with different solutions implemented with the major global brands.
Firm grasp on the industry with the ability to provide strategic direction for UNiDAYS partners and understand and digest the market by vertical.
Turn these insights and direct the internal teams to build scalable solutions for our priority partners.
A strategic thinker who takes real world partner feedback and builds a case for internal resource, to drive partner led products and solutions.
The voice of the commercial team and use this to help deliver these solutions.
Comfortable with large speaking engagements and the ability to clearly and articulately position the vision and the advantage of UNiDAYS to the wider industry.
Extensive partner contact, supporting the team in market and solving partner challenges.
