We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Advisor to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for a number of directorates, providing responsive and proactive advice to managers and staff.
You will support and advise on a wide range of issues including sickness absence management, disciplinary and grievance, change management and interpretation of policies and terms and conditions of employment.
Working closely with the Divisional HR Business Partner, you will be hard working, results orientated and an excellent communicator.
You will need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly gain credibility to build effective working relationships with managers within the organisation.
In addition you will contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures and deliver HR training. You will also provide support to panels at formal hearings.
You should be fully CIPD qualified with previous HR advisory experience in a large unionised organisation. It would be an advantage to have previous experience within the NHS and an understanding of NHS terms and conditions.
You will require good organisational skills and knowledge of employment law is essential.

This post is initially temporary for 6 months to cover a secondment, a 6 month fixed term / secondment will be considered.
