Our client holds a substantial portfolio of student accommodation and is currently undertaking a significant building improvement programme across the UK.
This involves upgrading and improving all of their portfolio in line with current fire safety legislation. They have an immediate requirement for a Chartered Building Surveyor / Project Manager who will have the ability to provide technical building fabric related advice and Project Management skills working from their office in London.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and recent track record of fire engineering and cladding works.
Key Role Responsibilities
Identify, co-ordinate and implement / manage investigation of building issues, and rectification of the same
Conduct defects diagnosis inspections and manage subsequent repair works
Appoint and manage project teams
Manage external professional consultants and contractors
Effectively manage budgets and complete projects on time
Monitor performance of external consultants
Prepare regular weekly and monthly reports
Manage programme of works against cost / quality and time criteria
Knowledge & Qualifications
Relevant building construction related degree
MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent membership
Be able to demonstrate technical track record
Be able to demonstrate management of External and Internal Teams
Good understand and knowledge of H&S
Understanding of Construction and maintenance techniques
A thorough understanding of fire engineering and cladding
Relevant experience in mid and high rise PBSA, Hotels, PRS or BTR sectors
Multi-site experience
Knowledge of material technology, durability and lifecycle
This role will be offered on a Fixed Term Contract
