Training For The Role
You begin with Officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, which lasts for 44 weeks. You learn what’s expected of a British Army Officer and how to lead soldiers on and off the battlefield.
Upon completion of the Commissioning Course you will attend the ETS Branch Training course at Worthy Down. During this course you begin the PGCE programme with Southampton University, this is also the first step towards gaining an MSc.
During this course you will develop the skills required to deliver education and training to soldiers, both at home and deployed, you will also continue to develop officership skills and fitness.
Age : 21 years - 28 years 11 months Qualifications :
Older candidates will be considered on a case by case basis.
72 UCAS Points from at least two A-level passes
35 ALIS points at GCSE (34 for SCEs) from seven GCSE / SCE subjects (including Grade C in English, Maths and a science or a foreign language)
A Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in any subject

Pay and Benefits
You'll earn £27,272 during your year of training at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, before commissioning and becoming a Second Lieutenant, on £32,780 a year.
