Phenomenal opportunity to join the Pall team to lead technical projects that make a real difference! Generate specific test protocols and reports to support customer requests for validation of Pall’s biotechnology products for the processing of customer biopharmaceutical fluids.

Essential Job Functions :

Project work (80%)

Take responsibility for assigned projects of basic to moderate complexity with moderate level of guidance and direction.

  • Prepare Statement of Work (SOW) (where applicable).
  • Prepare test protocols based on information supplied by customer. Confirm customer acceptance.
  • Raise laboratory requests for any test work to be performed.
  • Interpret laboratory data and prepare specific test reports. Confirm customer acceptance.
  • Maintain close customer and account manager liaison during projects. This will involve some or all of the following :

  • Update customer of project status in particular if there are problems / issues with the project.
  • Answer customer technical questions.
  • Travel to customer site for technical meetings - Travel will vary according to project needs but yearly average of 20% or less.
  • Travel will mainly include Europe and within the United Kingdom.

  • Give presentations and training.
  • Establish project priorities and decide appropriate action required to meet required target.

  • Schedule work into the laboratory in conjunction with the Laboratory Manager / Supervisor.
  • Update manager of status of assigned projects, including completion, delays or problems.
  • Report project progress (including time spent) using Project Management databases and Project Management tools.
  • Supporting Activities (20%)

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current regulatory trends, issues and guidelines relating to the products being supported.
  • Support management in preparation for audits, including document review.
  • Attend training courses as required.
  • Tackle special’ projects as requested by management.
  • Assist with training of new staff.
  • Review and approve protocols and reports, if authorised.
  • Minimum Qualifications / Experience :

  • Minimum degree or equivalent in a relevant (bio)pharmaceutical field or Chemistry / Microbiology related Science degree with relevant work experience.
  • Validated experience in a technical role with external customer facing experience.
  • Experience with extractables and leachables analysis for (bio)pharmaceutical products an advantage.
  • Position Competencies

  • Shown success in leadership including developing and executing project plans and reporting plans / results to management and customers.
  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in subject area and broader capabilities.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods (Gas chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, Mass spectrometry).
