Salary - £19,000 - £21,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience
Full year rota working on a shift basis / 8am-4pm & 10am-6pm
It is essential that you have experience using Active Directory and Group Policy systems.
Our fantastic, well established school are currently looking for an IT technician to join their small team to enable the smooth running of the IT support function.
This a great opportunity for someone with a few years' experience in a hands-on IT role, who is looking to get stuck in! Unfortunately, this would not suit an office-based service desk candidate, you would need to be prepared to get your hands dirty!
Work with and follow the current communication and administrative procedures to maximise productivity through the IT Department
Provide effective communications through an interface relating to all IT issues
Assist other departments in promoting the safe use of IT hardware, software, websites etc and providing information in how to combat the incorrect use of IT
Supporting the maintenance of all licensing for software and hardware, keeping records and ensuring all licences are compliant
Maintain and update the IT Asset List
Provide 1st and 2nd line hardware support for computer equipment such as computers, printers, scanners and related ICT equipment for all sites and support external contractors in 3 rd line support
Maintaining and installing the operating systems and applications used by office staff, teaching staff and pupils
Manage and maintain all aspects of user account information within the computer system
Install, fault find and troubleshoot all areas of network-based issues and installations, this includes network cabling, routers, switching and wireless issues
Build, install and configure all IT equipment, this will include servers, computers, monitors, printers, scanners, projectors, audio and visual equipment and any other ICT related equipment as directed
Maintain, configure and manage all aspects of the organisation's backup policy and routines including software and hardware installations
Maintain and manage all areas of software deployment within the organisation such as antivirus, email spam filtering and internet spam filtering software and systems
Support future developments and technologies deployed within the organisation and support its ongoing progression
Prepare for and carry out effectively any training required on ICT systems to individuals or groups of staff, governors, parents etc
Support and administer all aspects of the organisation's phone systems, both physical and cloud based
A DBS check would have to be carried out prior to employment with our client due to the role being in an education environment.
