About The Role

We are now looking to recruit several passionate and enthusiastic Apprentice Machine Operators for our state-of-the-art factory in Barton-upon-Humber.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to begin a career in manufacturing and learn how to operate bespoke, industry leading machinery, ultimately leading to a level 2 qualification in Lean Manufacturing.

As an Apprentice Machine Operator, you’ll benefit from a tailored learning program that has been developed by our inhouse training team and approved training provider.

Once you successfully complete your apprenticeship, you’ll be guaranteed a permanent position with us, and we’ll continue to invest in your development to allow you to progress even further in your career!

Our Apprentices benefit from a salary which will be above the minimum apprenticeship wage set by the government and have access to the same range of benefits as our permanent employees! The course will last a total of 15 months and the candidate will attend a training day once per week for the duration of their apprenticeship.

The working hours will be 07 : 00 15 : 30, 4 days per week and 09 : 00-17 : 30, 1 day per week (college day)

Our Apprentice Machine Operators will focus on :

Learning to set and operate various types of machines, producing parts and working with more experienced staff on how to set tolerances and finishes

Loading and unloading of materials on / off machines

Controlling stock and material movement

Cleaning and maintaining tooling and machinery and will undertake additional housekeeping duties as part of the team

Reporting any faults and breakdowns to your supervisor

You’ll have an inquisitive mind, with an interest in how machinery works and is operated. You must also be a practical, hands-on person who is eager to learn and develop the skills and experience you already have.
