Role Summary :

The Technical Solutions Consultant role will implement exciting and challenging business intelligence solutions across the world.

The role is responsible for advising and communicating with clients, providing technical configuration services, and ensuring timely and successful delivery of the solution.

The role includes occasional travel to the US, Europe or Australia to work directly with our global clients.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Working autonomously and with a team to implement business intelligence software solutions at client locations across the globe;
  • Actively participating in the full implementation cycle including gathering and documentation of requirements, implementation, testing, solution delivery, client interfacing and client training;
  • The timely and successful implementation of solutions with high quality results;
  • Installing, configuring and upgrading corporate performance management (EPM / CPM) software;
  • Advising and communicating knowledgeably about financial budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting, both concepts and actual processes;
  • Communicating progress on project deliverables to Project Lead in a timely manner;
  • Building and cultivating strong client relationships and display leadership when dealing with clients;
  • Managing client expectations and resolving customer issues in a timely and responsive manner;
  • Seeking solutions to clients’ issues on a proactive basis; and identifying and notifying management of new business opportunities.
  • You will be a strong team player and will possess :

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting or Business discipline and / or equivalent experience;
  • Proven experience in an IT development or consulting environment;
  • Ability to create complex formulas, macros and sophisticated formatting in Microsoft Excel;
  • A general understanding of SQL and relational databases;
  • Ability to build and nurture strong client and peer relationships while working in a fast paced, dynamic team environment;
  • Proven ability to complete project deliverables on time and within scope.
  • Knowledge of OLAP building concepts, RDBMS, Microsoft Analysis Services and accounting / finance experience will be considered an asset.
