Duties and Responsibilities

The ESRC funded Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) requires specific research project assistance on our Population and Mobility research theme.

CDRC has developed new software and population data that are of interest to a range of end users. A Research Fellow is required to demonstrate the applicability of these resources and develop new insights about the dynamics of internal migration, the changing ethnic and demographic composition of neighbourhoods and residential segregation.

The post holder will be expected to work alongside the research team that has developed the underpinning analysis ready data and end users such as the Joint Biosecurity Centre.

The post is funded initially for 12 months commencing 4th January 2021.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have a PhD in demography / applied quantitative social science, statistics, or other relevant degree with a strong emphasis upon applied quantitative analysis.

It is also essential that they have experience of large and complex datasets in a research environment- their creation, documentation and maintenance.

As well as experience of successfully publishing research founded upon quantitative spatial analysis.
