Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Supported Living Manager has arisen to join this national healthcare provider with a great ethos and reputation.

My client takes pride in providing accommodation and support for adults with learning disabilities and / or mental health support needs.

You will report into the Registered Manager and at times operate deputizing in the management and operation of the service including service user care, personnel and business management.

They are looking for someone to join their team operating in the Enfield area; providing supported living tenancy’s and outreach support to vulnerable adults in the community with learning disabilities, mental health, challenging behaviour and autism.

They have a have block of flats and shared houses.

You will be required to assist and support service users to live full and independent lives meeting a range of personal care, social and emotional care needs.

The role requires directly supporting individuals in their own homes with daily living skills, household duties, managing finances, medication, shopping, personal hygiene, health appointments, accessing the local community and social engagements or employment, and supervising project coordinators and support workers carrying out these duties.

Management responsibilities include writing rota’s, payroll processing, incoming processing, attending and chairing service users reviews and meetings, staff management and supervision, financial management of petty cash and service users’ monies, building and maintaining relationships with tenants, families, commissioners and social workers.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Experience of managing Mental Health and / or learning disability services and complex needs
  • Experience of supporting people with mental ill health and / or learning disabilities in a health or social care setting
  • Track record of enabling choice and control to be a reality for people with mental health and / or learning disabilitys.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective organisational capability
  • Great team player
  • Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
  • Strong can do attitude
  • Sal : £27K
