The role

As a Department Manager at Moto you will take overall responsibility for driving sales, operational standards and ensuring brand compliance by developing your team, delivering high quality customer service and budgeted profit for the unit.

Responsibilities :

Champion customer service and create a culture of service and sales

Lead by example by providing a hands-on approach

Ensure customers are served in a friendly, professional and efficient manner

Handle and resolve customer complaints in line with company procedures

Recruit, develop and lead teams within assigned departments, ensure effective control of labour by using management and local information, ensuring that labour matches projected sales with team delivering operational and service standard

Motivate all team members and monitor performance and conduct in line with company procedures

Ensure that the company appraisal process is in place and is both effective and constructive for all team members

Communicate all key information to the team using tools provided

Ensure that all company policies and procedures are in place to maintain cash and stock security and that all necessary action is taken

Responsible for delivering brand standards at all times

Organising all resources efficiently including staff and product lines

Maximising sales through effective merchandising and marketing and in line with brand standards

Identify opportunities to maximise sales at a local level, being aware of local and national events

Ensure all standards, health and food safety legislative checks are completed and that all necessary remedial action is taken / issues are escalated

Analyse and act upon financial / performance data to ensure the unit is running efficiently and profitably, by ensuring all basic cost controls are in place and they meet company targets (cost of sales, labour costs and ratios, direct and indirect costs, managing of bad debt)

Manage and achieve stock holding within company targets

Be fully conversant with all key management accounts

Monitor the units KPI’s ensuring targets are met

Who we're looking for

You will have enthusiasm to deliver outstanding customer service and retain good customer relations, ideally in a multi-

unit environment. You will have the ability to lead a team through motivation and engagement A flexible approach to working hours / environment and to communicate confidently to all is a key part of this role.

Person specified :

Experience of training and coaching a team

Previous Line Management experience

Computer literate

Understanding of Key Performance Indicators

Profit & Loss knowledge

Proven record of exceeding sales targets

Worked in a branded catering or retail environment at a management level

Previous experience of managing performance and following set procedures

Honest and Open

Willingness to learn and shows initiative

Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
