Are you a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills who is looking for a new challenge? An opportunity has become available for two pharmacists to join our clinical pharmacy team working in acute areas of the Trust (the Emergency Department and the Acute Medical Unit ED / AMU).
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with good clinical knowledge who are proactive and willing to develop.
The successful candidates will be pharmacistsregistered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should have a postgraduate clinical diploma (or relevant experience) and be prepared to work on a fast paced unit.
You will have the ability to work independently but also as part of a team to produce results that promote patient safety.
The role involves shift working and you will also participate in the departmental weekend and back-up on call rotas. Shifts are staggered to cover the wards between 8am and 7pm (shift patterns are 8am to 4.
30pm, 9am to 5.30pm or 10.30pm to 7pm and are allocated on a rotational basis).
You will be joining a friendly team of pharmacists and medicines management technicians who work together to provide a valuable service to the wards.
The service covers the Clinical Decisions Unit in ED, the Acute Medical Unit which has 44 beds and the Short Stay Unit which has up to 26 flexi beds.
