We are currently looking for an Estimator to join our team in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

The purpose of this Estimator role will be to oversee the pricing of work and the management of the tendering process.

Qualifications / Experience :

  • Experience of Estimating
  • Experience within a similar industry is preferable but not essential
  • Experience of Surfacing and Civil Engineering procedures (Desirable)
  • IT Skills Microsoft Project (Desirable) and Microsoft Office
  • Educated to HNC / HND Level or equivalent
  • IOSH
  • Member of RICS, or ICES (Desirable)
  • Personal Attributes and Behaviours :

  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
  • Commercial accumen
  • What will I be responsible for?

  • Negotiating contracts
  • Organising and overseeing the pricing of work, for the contracting business and the management of the tendering process.
  • Developing and influencing bid strategies
  • Securing work packages in line with budgetary and business strategies.
  • Securing and developing new business opportunities in line with regional initiatives, by ensuring that competitive tenders are submitted, taking into account business capabilities, capacities, financial, technical and contractual risk.
  • Developing relationships with customers, working well as a part of a team and have a drive for success
  • Ensuring compliance with policies including Health and Safety, Environmental and Sustainability
