As the Industry Marketing, Retail specialist / lead, you will be an integral member of the team responsible for driving and owning the messaging and content strategy for the EMEA Marketing team.

In your role, you will be responsible for driving and creating bespoke messaging and content targeting the Retail industry which speaks to the unique challenges of their industry and illustrates how Snowflake addresses their needs.

You will be an expert in industry marketing with a solid understanding of writing high quality content and repurposing content for use across multiple channels.

This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, project management, and cross-organisational collaboration.


  • Become the Retail and CPG go-to-marketing lead for the EMEA marketing team
  • You will be responsible for supporting across EMEA but based in the UK and will have a primary focus on the core regions (UK, France & Germany).
  • Align closely with the Industry Principal to develop the go to market messaging
  • Support regional Field Marketing teams (FMM teams) (focus on core markets) with differentiated proposition messaging and content that effectively articulate benefits of Snowflake to the Retail and CPG community
  • Work closely with the Field Marketing teams to provide guidance and support to ensure their industry marketing needs are met to enable their campaign activities within countries and regions
  • Partner collaboratively with wider marketing team (events, programmes,demand gen, ABM) to support their programmes with relevant content and messaging
  • Partner and collaborate with the wider network of EMEA / Global marketing and functional experts to develop engaging and relevant content that articulates Snowflake’s full value proposition to increase customer acquisition, support pipeline growth, and ultimately impact revenue
  • Leverage the full breadth of internal and external expertise to ensure content is reflective of customer challenges, product proof points and is firmly aligned to key priorities of regional business objectives set out by the Field Marketing team
  • Monitor industry trends (i.e. technology trends, challenges) and terminology to ensure content is highly relevant to drive demand and support pipeline goals
  • Ensure all messaging and content is on brand, consistent in style, quality and tone of voice and optimised for search and user experience for all channels
  • Make use of all data and insight tools and marketing intelligence teams to make informed data-driven content decision making and to track performance against benchmarks and report return on investment to optimise furniture campaigns.

  • You will have a minimum of 6 years content marketing experience, ideally in an industry focused role
  • You are the master of writing compelling content that speaks clearly and with authority!
  • You have a persuasive writing style that encourages target audiences to act now!
  • You are passionate about writing, being creative and researching new ways of doing things
  • You are self-sufficient, a self-starter, very experienced, resourceful and the ultimate team player

  • Strong experience in content marketing, ideally in B2B Retail and in IT / data
  • Extensive experience supporting the development of content materials with a detailed knowledge of the end-to-end process
  • Ability to repurpose and build content using strong copy editing and writing skills
  • Able to brief designers, copywriters and third-party agencies on content
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of data and insight analysis
  • Customer centric approach and focus
  • Knowledge of enterprise marketing and sales processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business led environment
  • Fluent English is a must and one or more European languages is a plus
  • Flexible and able to effectively work with cross-functional teams and with different cultures and approaches and ways of working
