We are currently seeking a Managing Scientist for our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice in our Harrogate (UK), Derby (UK), London (UK), Edinburgh (UK) or Basel (Switzerland) offices.
Remote working may also be considered. In this role you will work as part of a team to provide regulatory and technical expertise in Biocide Regulatory Affairs.
Assist in the development and implementation of regulatory strategy for the approval of new and existing active substances at community level and the authorisation of biocide products on a national, EU and global basis.
Project manage complex mutli-disciplinary regulatory projects, advising colleagues and clients with respect to current and developing regulatory processes and legislation, in addition to contributing to the management and development of the Biocides Regulatory Team and the development of new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for :
Conducting consultancy work in the biocides sector, including :
Developing and implementing strategies for EU and global regulatory authorisations
Providing strategic regulatory advice
Managing the project work programmes, including budget, communication QA and delivery
Supporting products in a regulatory setting
Preparing technical reports and dossiers
Representing clients at meetings with regulatory authorities or within industry consortia
Developing and managing employees where the opportunity arises
Contributing to the expansion of the biocides business, including
Promoting activities to attract new business opportunities
Assisting with maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients
Contributing towards business development initiatives
You will have the following skills and qualifications :
BSc in a scientific discipline
Nationally / Internationally recognised as an expert in area of interest
Keeps up to date with developments in field and applies this through strategic thinking
