Full time, position commencing in September 2020 for a teaching assistant with SEMH experience at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Oldham.
Teaching Personnel is working in co-operation on with a PRU located in Oldham. The setting provides education for pupils who are out of mainstream education for a variety of reasons which may include : SEMH needs, temporary or permanent exclusion, emotional and behavioural difficulties, medical reasons, pregnancy and young mothers.
The role will involve working in collaboration with a classroom teacher to support their holistic development of pupils with SEMH.
At the moment the position is initially temporary in the first instance, however there is an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The main aim of the setting is to integrate pupils back into mainstream education wherever possible. Due to the specific needs of the pupils it will be ideal for the teaching assistant to have a considerable amount of experience working with pupils who show signs of challenging behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
