Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s - Senior Marketing Executive London & City (Fixed Term Contract - 12 months with a view to renewal)

In 2021, we’ll open the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital : The City of London’s only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew’s NHS hospital, Nuffield Health at St Barts will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including : orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology surgery.

The new hospital will consist of :

  • 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
  • 28 consultation rooms
  • Three digital operating theatres
  • Cardiac catheterisation lab
  • Specialist intensive care beds
  • Oncology day unit
  • Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
  • Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
  • We have a unique and exciting opportunity to deliver the brand proposition through associated campaigns, website and social media activity that focus on market growth and brand position.

    As the hospital is new to the market, the role will focus on planning events, helping manage and build the website content with new consultants, on-boarding and creating and delivering local awareness campaigns.

    The Senior Marketing Executive will be based within the Business Development team to support and drive the brand narrative through planning, focused creative design briefs and considered channel strategies to ensure delivery of brand and commercial targets for the hospital.

    The role will report into the Business Development Director (who is part of the hospital Senior Management Team) and be accountable to the Senior Brand Manager Centrally.

    You will be personable, confident, self-motivated, and credible with commercial insight these combined with high degree of autonomy, self-motivation and the ability to think creatively.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Support and develop marketing campaigns including creative execution for B2C and B2B segmentations. These marketing campaigns should be consistent with our strategic goals and deliver on our brand strategy.
  • This includes working with agencies to create strong creative briefs which drive the brand narrative and ensure efficient creative development.
  • You will project manage the process from end-to-end, working collaboratively with other relevant teams to ensure collateral and creative is clinically robust, relevant and customer-focused.

  • To lead the creation of the website content, including but not limited to landing pages, treatment pages, consultant profiles and booking pages.
  • Manage and deliver consultant profiles liaising with the central teams, including consultant photos and driving a consistent look and feel.

    Develop and distribute newsletter and other digital comms.

  • Plan and deliver industry-leading events, both virtually and physically (such as GP engagement seminars online and launch event(s) Tracking invitees, attendees and feedback using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Work with internal comms team to plan and deliver relevant content to the wider business. Therefore supporting the development of the strategic plan on when and how to engage our people.
  • To utilise Salesforce Marketing Cloud activities to develop campaigns which track activity working with the appropriate specialist marketing manager to deliver campaigns.
  • Managing the GP list in Salesforce and develop the production of marketing cloud metrics which demonstrate successful results and event attendance.

  • Marketing admin support, including the management of the marketing budget, raising POs, managing accruals and monthly marketing budget.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to ensure the marketing function is a core part of project work.
  • Work alongside key customer functions like digital, comms etc. to ensure integrated channel strategies that are effectively planned and delivered on time.
  • You will have;
  • Relevant honours degree or equivalent of knowledge acquired through experience, other qualifications and training / development.
  • Relevant marketing qualification e.g. Certificate / Post Grad in Marketing (CIM) or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in role (understanding of customer segmentation, leading and managing campaigns & projects, budgeting responsibility and stakeholder management
  • Previous experience within the healthcare setting, especially in relation to private hospitals
  • Ability to brief, review and understand media plans
  • Excellent copywriting and proof reading skills
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to work well with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external partners and proactively contribute ideas
  • Event planning and delivery experience, from invitation through to feedback
  • It is desirable for you to have :

  • The ability to identify business trends, competitor understanding and analysis
  • ECRM experience, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other automated ESP
  • Digital experience, including website development (possibly with basic coding abilities)
