We have an immediate opportunities for Graduate, Intermediate and Engineer grades (Mechanical ) to take on a role seconded to a major project team based on site in Plymouth.

The role will involve supporting lead engineers in the delivery of one or more technical design packages.

Role Location : Due to Covid-19 the opportunity will currently be based from home but after the restrictions are lifted, the role will be predominantly site-based.

Atkins have a long-term pipeline of projects in the South West of England and especially, in the case of this opportunity, in Plymouth.

The role will suit local candidates but also those looking to relocate to one of the most picturesque areas in the UK next to Dartmoor and close to great beaches.

Secondment Details : Although the secondment is based in Plymouth we recognise that talented Engineers from across the region might be interested in this opportunity.

The role offers a working week that allows for 4 longer days on site and a shorter Friday working from home or Atkins office.

  • Support lead engineering resource in the delivery of one or more technical design packages.
  • Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
  • Requirements

  • Appropriate qualification in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and Chartered, or working towards Chartership with a relevant institution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • An effective and reliable team member.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
