WHAT TO EXPECT
As Technical Architect for Network Services you will have a leading role in shaping the transformation of the Jaguar Land Rover Network Services that underpin all of our global activities.
This will include providing architectural input to LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN & network security solution designs. The role will also include supporting the development of network tooling for management & monitoring techniques.
You will act as an initial point of contact for architecture support, proactively engaging with the Product managers, Business Managers, customers and Enterprise Architects, covering the end-to-end Architecture elements across all IT initiatives, from technology selection through to delivery.
The role will also contribute to formulating our roadmaps for the future and investment programmes.
You will significantly contribute to the transformation of the network services as we develop our technologies that will underpin the Jaguar Land Rover IT Strategy.
The role will play an important part in translating business strategies and priorities into target state architectures by forming coherent solution designs, Reference Architectures, Patterns and Standards and Roadmaps.
You will work with Product managers, Enterprise Architects, Business Relationship Managers, Project / Programme Solution Architects, BA’s, Service Delivery, supplier Technical Architects and Subject Matter Experts to ensure roadmaps and required project solutions are correctly designed and successfully delivered aligned with the Jaguar Land Rover IT Strategy and Architecture Principles.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Lead Network Architect, you will lead the architecture development of Network Services target state architecture, strategy and delivery model to support Jaguar Land Rover global business operations.
You will play a significant role in the development, maintenance, and communication network services roadmap, reference architectures, policies, processes, patterns and standards appropriate to the Jaguar Land Rover business model, ensuring that it remains relevant and appropriate as the Company continues to transform.
You will be required to engage with business and IT stakeholders, building relationships to understand the business priorities and how your technical domain must change to enable transformation.
You will also be tracking the trends in the network domain and building the business case for emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to exploit for IT & business Innovation as well as assess the requirements and present architectural recommendations that are in line with the strategic vision for the network services to IT programmes.
You will be working closely with all IT product domains and Cloud hosting leads to build an overall technical landscape to transform Jaguar Land Rover’s IT delivery & operating model as well as being able to perform solution options analysis and product selection with a particular focus on Total Cost of Ownership.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining constructive relationships with suppliers to allow effective and productive evaluation of vendor offerings against business requirements, constraints, and priorities as well as acting as a coach to advise and assist consultants, analysts, technical specialists, and architects in relevant solution architecture disciplines within the networks domain.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
For this role, you will have a proven track record as a Senior Technical Architect delivering appropriate designs integrating cross-technology solutions covering a variety of technologies as well as experience designing enterprise scale solutions.
You will have a strong understanding of emerging Wi-Fi networking infrastructure technologies as well as a good understanding of best practices for the development of security standards compliant systems and will have a strong troubleshooting mindset along with a proven track record of working in a complex and multi-faceted organisation using a wide variety of current and legacy IT technology components.
You will have the ability to produce both technical and operational management documentation as well as have the ability to demonstrate delivery of pragmatic solutions that balance project / programme constraints against strategic direction.
As required you will, successfully reach agreements and compromise with stakeholders as well as have the ability to identify practical solutions and improvements that benefit the organisation and express complex ideas in clear business language.
You will have proven ability to think strategically, analyse data and information and develop and deliver appropriate, innovative and effective solutions.
Ability to provide technical system solutions, determine overall design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issues
TOGAF 9 certification would be an advantage.
