About the Team
As an assistant manager in KPMG’s Clara Analytics capability, you will work on data analytics projects across a wide range of audit engagements driving the future technology driven audits.
An assistant manager would typically be responsible for delivering quality data analytics outputs on a large range of engagements across our audit portfolio.
This will include delivering outputs for some of our largest global and most complex engagements.
Our data and analytics capability is growing and fast paced. An assistant manager would be able to get involved in growing our analytics through supporting the technology narrative on audit tenders as well as getting experience in development.
We are investing in product development and innovation activities, to ensure that KPMG’s analytics capability remains market leading on a global scale, an assistant manager will have opportunities to shape future innovation.

About the Position
The role is for an assistant manager focused on the delivery of Audit D&A routines, primarily related to accounting journals, with opportunities to develop new routines and innovative solutions in other audit areas.
Performing data and analytics audit procedures using appropriate tools including KPMG developed tools and Alteryx Designer
Critically assessing structured and semi-structured data, identifying issues and inconsistencies that need to be solved before running the analysis
Presenting the analysis results using MS PowerBi visualisation technology and MS Excel
Preparing documentation of D&A work and deliverables for use by audit teams
Stakeholder management, including but not limited to; regular dialogue with audit engagements teams, expectation management on deliverables, support with interpreting outputs to ensure teams understand outputs and act as a key escalation point for your analysts.
Developing and implementing best practice to ensure that quality’ is embedded within all activities performed by the team.
Working with offshore colleagues on a daily basis to deliver work effectively and efficiently.
Educational Requirements
Degree
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of post-qualification experience
Experience with Big 4 / leading Audit firms desirable.
Proven ability to deliver audit D&A routines
Required Skills
Experience of designing, building and delivery of data analytic routines.
Strong skills in at least one analytic technology (e.g. ACL, IDEA, Alteryx, SQL) and supporting skills in one or more related technologies (e.
g. Python, PowerBI, Qliksense, Tableau).
Excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence to promote and present the value of routines.
Excellent organisational and project management skills and experience of leading teams and working independently.
A flexible approach and ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and handle tight deadlines.
Proven experience of working within a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Desirable Skills
Experienced in training and developing junior analysts.
Experience working in a mixed offshore / onshore delivery team.
Knowledge and experience of specific ERP or accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Sage, Navision or others, regardless of size / market impact)
