Aim of post
To enable individuals with complex learning disabilities, and / or an autism spectrum condition, to maximise their independencewithin a community environment.
This role will work alongside the individuals we support to ensure we consider their health, aspirations and social / emotional needs.
Safeguarding vulnerable children and adults is a priority for all employees.
Our service, on Newbridge Lane has vacancies available for Community Support Workers.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about championing for people with disabilities. Someone who has excellent communication and literacy skills.
Who has a level 2 QCF (or willing to work towards this) and someone who has knowledge and understanding of those with disabilities and autism.
The post holder will be employed within a community-based project in the Stockport area (32.5 hours at Newbridge and 3 hours community outreach based).
The aims of the projects are to provide person centred care to promote independence and inclusion within the local community, in order to empower the service users to take control of their own lives.
The main focus is to provide the highest level of support in order to enable greater independence, choice and fulfilment for theindividuals that attend the service.
