What will you be doing?

Working with the hyperoptic engineering teams building PONs to ensure that they are tested correctly and that we have 100% certainty that the network is fit to sell.

Working on underground and Overhead network this post will be responsible for testing using OTDR and other testing tools to confirm quality of the network and to sign off that the network is fit to sell.

Working with the coaching teams to build testing materials and methods to ensure that the engineering teams can understand and build the network to quality standards

Recording and then fixing issues that are within the remit of the T&D scope agreed (avoiding unnecessary re-visits)

What are we looking for?

This role demands that the person employed is familiar with PON technology and is able to work one their own in the Hyperoptic network, being PIA trained and accredited would be an advantage

A good understanding of testing in the Optical network

A good communicator at both individual and group level, able to command the respect of other engineers

Able to problem solve in the network in real time
