In this role you will work as part of a highly collaborative microbiology team within our Research & Development function at Reading Innovation Centre.

You will lead microbiology innovation and formulation development across a diverse range of P&Gs diverse Personal Health Care business portfolio within EiMEA or AMA market regions.

Key Responsibilities

To partner with other R&D and Product Supply functions to provide technical expertise and guidance to enable quality design and control of the raw materials and finished products in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Lead microbial testing, data interpretation and microbial risk assessments (MRA)

Lead MRA and microbial qualification for new raw materials and new product initiatives.

Lead innovation of new microbiology-based technologies and capabilities; including digitisation and sustainability.

Lead advancement of microbial methods, models and work processes to adapt and keep the business ahead of changing regulations and advances in technology.

M.SC. or Ph.D. in Microbiology or life science, ideally with work experience in the field of Microbiology or Bioscience.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; a proactive thinker who can anticipate future issues and propose and deliver pragmatic solutions.

Well organised with good time management skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines across multiple projects.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an aptitude for high quality technical writing. Proficiency in English.

Able to make decisions and effectively influence.

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills must be able to effectively interact with a diverse group of people from different functions, of different nationalities and at different levels within the company.

Geography : Ability to work permanently in UK.
