Why this role matters
The role holder is responsible for leading the planning, delivery, measurement and optimisation of events for BT. Events may include large / small scale face to face events, hospitality, dinners, exhibitions, influencer body events, and online events.
Plan and execute events to support the BT events programme.
Deliver high quality events ensuring activity runs as planned, on time and within budget, and ultimately drives the desired outcome.

Review, analyse and continuously improve the events programme to ensure best results.
What you'll be doing
Delivers BT-wide events, in support of the Events Manager.
Follows the BT brand guidelines to create exceptional event experiences.
Delivers against a brief provided to ensure the events meet the objectives set out
Works to strict deadlines to deliver event outputs
General / Other :
Ensure all events are fully aligned to the overall business strategy, (BT and CFU) drives awareness / consideration, revenue and growth KPI’s.
Adherence to BT governance and policy.
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, partners and suppliers both internally and externally
Present plans, reviews, results, initiatives etc key stakeholders as required, ensuring presentations contain all the necessary information and tell the required story
Ongoing improvements to the effectiveness and customer experience of events
Actively manage any issues arising within events
Own and effectively manage projects run project meetings, produce contact / action reports and set direction
Understand the relevant CFU customer base by understanding customer insight and execute all activity with the customer in mind
Seek and understand event industry best practice, and use this insight within the programme
Engage stakeholders in the planning process, including the CFU comms team / head of IC
Ensure the event plans take into consideration requirements from key stakeholders across the business, and provide feedback and rational to stakeholders when requirements cannot be included
Ensure that the events plans include learning and insight from previous events to improve performance
Set stretching targets for the event plans (agreed with CFU head of IC)
Input planned activity into the overarching comms activity plan and ensure that this is continuously kept up to date
Deliver the events activity ensuring activity runs as planned, on time and within budget
Adherence to BT governance, guidelines and policies at all times.
Achieve the agreed targets within the events programme
Effectively manage the budget for the event
Make sure that project costs are fully understood and agencies and stakeholders deliver against the cost plans
Create accurate event briefs for stakeholders sales, speakers / hosts, agencies, data etc
Work with the CFU stakeholder to ensure colleagues are invited to the events
