Job Title : SEN Teaching Assistant KS1 class

Salary / Rate : £63.00 - £72.00

Location : Maghuall Area

A Primary School in the Sefton area are looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis, starting ASAP

You will be working closely with a KS2 pupil with ADHD and in a Year 4 class. You will be supporting the pupil with implementing their Education Heathcare Plan.

The child will start at the school this september and will need help with settling in the school and to be supported with their learning and development

The school is rated Good by Ofsted, has a very supportive staff team and has good transport links and parking facilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • You will be a Teaching Assistant in a year 4 class upporting a SEN pupil with ADHD
  • As teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting a year 4 pupil on a 1-2-1 basis and implementing their EHCP and work closely woth the SENdco and parents
  • Required Skills Experience :

  • You must have previous experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary or nursery setting, ideally ADHD but not essential
  • You must have experience of supporting pupils with their learning and development
  • Previous experience supporting within a school environment in the last 12 months or similar
  • If you are completing a CACHE course and have completed any volunteering Teaching Assistants posts, this may be a great opportunity
