Position Overview :
The Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the Account Manager with the overall delivery of the Lifecycle Maintenance Services on the Cornwall Fire Stations PFI Contract and also delivery of Contract Changes (minor works requests) on the Cornwall Schools PFI Contract.
To achieve the required delivery outcomes they will liaise with the management team and other colleagues and interested parties within the Cornwall Fire Stations Contract and the Schools PFI Contract.
The Project Manager will have responsibility for preparing cost estimates for contract changes, plus programming, procurement and management of Building and M&E works to achieve the contractual KPI’s.
These management responsibilities will include contractor management, customer relations, health and safety, quality, environmental concerns and the programming of service deliverables, whilst giving consideration to the commercial risks and opportunities associated with the Contract.
Support the ongoing commercial viability of the PFI Contract.
Be the focal point for the delivery of Lifecycle Maintenance Works on the Cornwall Fire Station PFI Contract.
Be responsible for the delivery of Contract Changes within the Cornwall Schools PFI, including cost estimates for the customer.
Procure and manage supply chain to deliver support services.
Ensure supply chain services are fully compliant with all current H&S legislation and Mitie’s H&S policies and procedures.
Ensure the service complies with Mitie’s Business Management System.
Carry out appropriate surveys, collate data and prepare reports.
Programme, procure and manage Building and M&E works to achieve the Contractual KPI’s.
Attend Contract meetings and meeting with contractors and customers when required.
Assist in the preparation and annual update of the Lifecycle Replacement Plan for the Cornwall Fire Stations Contract.
Assist with the Preparation of Risk Management Plans.
Conduct site inspections to check quality and performance of procured works.
Assist with implementing and maintaining Mitie’s strategy and policies for sustainability, Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development, Statutory Compliance etc.
Be proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
Review methods of working, alternative materials etc, in order to maximise effectiveness of service.
Supporting and mentoring members of the FM teams in their personal and professional development.
What we are looking for :
ONC or equivalent qualification.
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
Demonstrable track record of project management within a building maintenance environment.
Clean Full Driving Licence.
PFI project management.
