Future Roots is an award winning and evaluated organisation that has been established for 12 years and has been making a difference to young peoples lives over this period.
The applicant will need to have experience of working with and safe guarding difficult to engage young people between the ages of 8-25 who have various challenges.
This role will include working in a farm setting using animal assisted therapy as well as other practical therapeutic solutions.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing personalised sessions, reporting and recording as well as assessing qualifications like City and Guild land based operations, for which training can be given.
The successful applicant will need to believe that all young people deserve opportunities and are able to achieve given the right experiences and support.
The aim is to build effective working relationships with young people, generally in group sessions, in order that young people build resilience and develop well-being.
The role also involves working as part of a team and will be expected to support their colleagues. The site needs to feel safe to everyone and we expect all people who participate or attend to feel valued and welcome.
The successful applicant will recieve and be expected to attend regular supervision and team reflection sessions. There will be some out of hours work where we celebrate young people achievements.
