Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders.

Clark Wood is currently working with a leading Top 10 firm of chartered accountants who are seeking to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join the growing team in their Nottingham location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of corporate clients including OMBs, AIM Listed clients, standalone companies and groups from a wide range of business sectors.

You will be responsible for controlling the quality and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of both compliance and advisory services to your clients.

You will also have responsibility for managing junior staff including the delegation and review of their work. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful individual to join a leading firm of chartered accountants with a well-

established international network and where there will be scope for further career progression. Duties & Responsibilities.

Management of a wide ranging portfolio of corporate clients (mixture of sectors / individual companies and group, for both OMB and AIM clients).

Take responsibility for quality and delivery of tax compliance and tax advisory services and manage assignments through delegation as required.

Line manager for junior staff involved in corporation tax work. Taking an active role in managing billing and work in progress for the portfolio.

Involvement in business development and assignment proposals to generate work from existing or new clients. Other opportunities for advisory work arising from portfolio or from referrals (international tax, property, R&D / transactional support & due diligence assignments, or other specialism where this exists).

Attend and participate in internal technical updates to comply with CIOT CPD requirements (and other relevant bodies). Skills.

Candidates should be either CTA qualified or ACA qualified (preferably first time passes). Portfolio & staff management experience essential.
