We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Fire Engineer in our Blackburn and North Tyneside offices. The successful candidates will join long established multi-disciplinary teams.
The workload will be varied and will cover a multitude of sectors, with particular focus on the health sector.
What you will be doing :
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Capita team
Carry out site surveys, and report on fire related defects
Review and report on fire strategies
Carry out design and specification work for fire remediation work and assist with preparing tender information
Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)

What we’re looking for :
Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers
Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and HTM’s specifically HTM 0502
Good awareness of Fire Safety within a Healthcare environment
Development of fire risk management strategies
Experience of working within Healthcare or a similar complex organisation
Ability to establish a good working relationship with clients and colleagues including enforcing authorities
Represent Capita in meetings with the client and other external stakeholders
Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Good written verbal communication skills and experience of report writing for different levels within an organisation.
Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience
Commitment to CPD within the role
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to demonstrate flexible approach to work and willingness to travel / stay away from home for short periods as may be required.
