Role overview

Freedom Group have a vacancy for a Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Services team based at either Dartford or Stowmarket.

The main purpose of the role is to drive civil engineering and facilities projects across the South East of England from outset to completion, working closely with the client, our commercial and estimating team and delivery teams to ensure than projects meet client requirements and are delivered in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Scoping of project considering client, site and health and safety requirements to optimally scope projects;
  • Assist in costing schemes for quotation as required;
  • Co-ordinate use of all resources including people, materials and equipment for effective and timely completion of work;
  • Ensure resources are delivered to appropriate sites in accordance with project plans;
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom Group and its customers;
  • Provide immediate, authoritative, guidance and discipline on SHE matters;
  • Ensure that employees on site conform to Freedom Group’s SHE policy and issued safety instructions;
  • Ensure site safety and daily risk assessments are carried out;
  • Monitor and report on the performance of teams to Operations Manager as required.
  • Requirements :

  • Substantial experience in construction project management role;
  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline (or demonstrable level of achievement through experience);
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS);
  • NEBOSH qualification preferred;
  • A formal project management qualification is desirable;
  • A full driving license.
