The opportunity where you will make an impact :
As our Technical Quality Coordinator you will report directly to the Quality Manager. This role is based primarily within the manufacturing site and will be factory and office based.
In this role you will interact with customers with responsibility for both internal and external customers.
Own the document control of the Quality Management System
Ensure completion of detailed factory and supplier specifications
Act as the point of contact for the customer with regards to quality enquiries and complaints
Ensure completion of documentation for customers including SAQ’s and policy statements
Lead quality investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and closed out
Work with the wider site and technical team to ensure all relevant KPIs are completed on time
Represent the technical team at the daily operations meeting ensuring all actions are given feedback and followed through to completion
Support directly and indirectly on all site certifications; RSPO, Rainforest Alliance, BRCGS, ISO 14001, Informed Sport and North East better health at work
Lead annual reviews of all department SOPs and Risk Assessments
Act as a key member of the site HACCP Team
Take an active part in the site internal audit program, by completing quality management system and practical factory environmental audits.
Lead and support the department training program, by delivering key technical training on the factory floor and through development of a detailed department skills matrix
Liaise with R&D during trials and product launches to ensure new raw materials specifications and supplier approvals are available to required standard as required
Assist with absence cover for Quality Assurance Technicians and Laboratory Coordinator
What you will bring to GPN :
Experience with the food industry within a quality or technical function
A qualification or HND standard of education in a relevant discipline
Level 3 or above in Food Hygiene and HACCP qualification
Training qualification or experience in delivering training
Experience in TACCP / VACCP
Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry would be advantageous
Experience in MS Office package (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential
Experience in SAP would be advantageous
Experience of online portals such as Laboratory Submission and Management QADEX and Retailer Specification Management Systems would be advantageous
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Highly organised with ability to prioritise workload
Strong stakeholder management skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders
