My client is part of an ever-growing group turning over in the region of £2B +. However, this part of the group is turning over circa £100M.
They are specialist highways, groundworks, and Civil Engineering contractors with a superb reputation across London. They deal with a mixture of public and private clients such as councils, developers, and large government-funded projects.

Projects they work on a range in value from £200,000 £10M and this involves frameworks and schemes.
About the opportunity
This opportunity has come around due to winning projects and company growth. They are now looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for an initial freelance period of 9-12 months, then they would like to make this a permanent appointment.
They are looking for someone to look after several groundworks’ projects, one of the projects is for a leading residential developer, another is for a large TFL contract and the other is for a huge government-funded Civil Engineering project.
You will be working on JCT and NEC contracts. The types of works will involve kerbing, drainage, S278 works, paving, and surfacing.
You will be self-delivering sections of the works as well as overseeing sub-contractors, tracking changes, and working on price variations.
About the requirements
What are they looking for? They are looking for someone who has experience in self-delivering and managing sub-contractors on groundworks and Civil Engineering projects.
You will need experience working on NEC and JCT contracts and experience working on groundworks or road projects in the UK.
I will need someone with at least 2 years of experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
