We now have an fantastic opportunity in our Guernsey based Financial Reporting team where we are now recruiting for two ACCA / CIMA qualified Assistant Financial Controllers.

This is a brand new role where you will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller to develop the Financial Reporting team.

We are looking for someone to support with the management of month-end, year-end closing and financial reporting closing processes.

You will perform monthly review and reconciliation process in the Financial Reporting teams’ portfolio, and in addition you will ensure that all general ledger balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and advise the Financial Controller of any potential risks.

You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the whole of Finance to facilitate prompt and effective resolution of issues and to help to deliver excellence in customer service.

Essential skills

  • CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Significant financial business experience.
  • Experience with consolidations and foreign currency transactions / translations.
  • Demonstrable analytical acumen in previous positions and appreciation of strategic vs operational objectives
  • Desirable Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of critical thinking in previous assignments.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, Open Accounts, Hyperion suite of tools.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Retail / Healthcare experience.
  • International experience.
