We are looking for two highly motivated, adaptable and conscientious registered Pharmacy Technicians with ACT to join our team.
Experience of hospital pharmacy is essential.
We are a department that is committed to the extended role of Technicians, and you will be encouraged to develop your skills in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice in our busy department.
Your duties will involve clinical services (medicines reconciliation reviews), dispensing, and counselling, technical services, including Radiopharmacy and clinical trials.
Medicines Management Systems are highly integrated into electronic IT systems. Pharmacy Technicians are involved in at the bedside clinical services , POD’s, medicines reconciliation and one stop dispensing.
Main duties of the job
To provide staff support, training, management and guidance under the direction of a senior member of staff.
Medicines Management :
Discharge medicines service
Dispensing, medicines supply and accuracy checking of :
Inpatient and outpatient medicines
Aseptic (TPN, Radiopharmaceuticals, chemotherapy and monoclonal) medicines
Clinical trial medicines

Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent
Accredited Checking Technician
Level 3 Award in assessing competence in the work environment or equivalent (A1 / 2, V1 / V2 D32 / 33 / 34)
Experience in a wide range of pharmaceutical skills and computer work
Relevant post qualification experience
Recent hospital dispensing experience
Experience in supervising people and operations
