The Team
The Financial Services Payment Consulting team in KPMG is at the heart of delivering innovative and large-scale customer-centric payments transformation programmes across all Financial Services industries.
We support clients across all part of the payments value chain to drive tangible outcomes during an unprecedented time of disruption and innovation in Payments.
This role will be front and centre of the rapidly expanding Payments consulting capability being part of teams solving client challenges in the payments arena as well as supporting the growth by being involved in propositions development (especially in the first 6 months) and nurturing the wider payments team talent.
We are looking for a blend of payment transformation delivery experience coupled with the ability to navigate through complex client challenges across payment specialisms such as real time payments applications and infrastructure delivery, data migration, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, post-merger integration, payments strategy and product development.
Whilst candidates do not need to have a detailed knowledge of every specialism, a deep understanding of some will be expected.
We delivery Payments consulting across a multitude of payment providers, schemes and financial institutions across merchant acquiring, BACS, CHAPS, RTP, cards issuing as well as digital currencies.
Experience is preferred across multiple of these products / schemes.
Supporting business development activity, building strong relationships with our clients and bid assistance also forms part of this role.
The Role
As a member of the payments consulting team the successful candidate will be expected to work within teams across a varied array of payments consulting engagements and clients.
As a Manager in the team your primary focus will be client engagements however there is a portion of your time (especially in the first 6 months) that will be devoted to leading some of our go to market activities and associated business development.

You may be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams as well as identifying team member development needs and accelerating development with emphasis on managing and mentoring engagement team members, coaching and skills transfer.
Risk management
You will be responsible for identifying and managing delivery and financial risks across projects, engagement assurance and commercial risk management and ensuring the Firm's frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively
The base location is our London office, but it would be great to also hear from talent from across the UK. Travel within the UK is however an essential part of the role due to the nature of the projects.

Ideally coming from either an FS organisation or a leading transformation consulting background such as : a consulting firm, systems integrator, technology innovator / fintech or top tier boutique provider, the candidate must have some or all of the following recent and relevant experience :
