Our Clinical Engineering Department, part of the wider Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering service, is one of the largest in the country, offering a diverse range of medical device related services both to the Trust and to external customers.

We have collaborative links within the medical device industry, academia and other healthcare providers and are actively involved in clinical research, medical device development, technology transfer and specialist consultancy.

We provide a comprehensive medical technology management service; deliver a large equipment library provision and run training and safety management services fundamental to the delivery of healthcare by the Trust.

Our mission is to maximise the potential of healthcare technology for the benefits of patients and clinicians, whilst minimising the risks.

Due to internal promotion an exciting vacancy has now arisen to join our Medical Equipment Servicing Team in Clinical Engineering.

The Medical Equipment Servicing Teams manage around 64000 medical equipment assets from acceptance and commissioning to service, repair and decommissioning.

These activities ensure the Trust maintains a fleet of high quality, state of the art equipment that is compliant, safe and fit for purpose.

This role is based in our CITY site based team who look after a portfolio of medical devices which includes defibrillators, patient monitoring, incubators, anaesthetic machines, ventilators and many other medical devices.

We are looking for an experienced clinical technologist who can fit into our current team structure into a senior role and who is able to work to high standards to ensure that the credibility of the department is maintained and that the service and repair activities are carried out to the high standards that we expect.
