The purpose of this role is to provide system support, administration, and development for key Financial reporting systems required to support RSA’s regulatory reporting requirements throughout a sustained period of change brought on by a recent acquisition.

Key deliverables involve working with internal Finance & IT community to provide development and support of the Financial Systems through various reporting cycles and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Key member of the Finance Systems team required to support RSA’s Financial Reporting Systems
  • Provision and maintenance of system administration tasks e.g. Database administration including programmed change and logical access, training, and adherence with Financial and ITGC controls.
  • Provision and maintenance of Finance Systems documentation including user roles, training guides
  • To work closely with regional Finance users to gather, understand, and interpret changes required to the Financial reporting systems to continue to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Development and system testing of changes made to the Financial reporting Systems Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with regions key Finance and Systems users so as to support relevant knowledge / skill transfer, information sharing and consistent good practice.
  • Delivery of timely documentation and development of changes required to Group Finance Systems
  • Delivery of timely support for Group Finance Systems through key reporting cycles
  • Documentation and evidence of Financial Controls associated with Group Finance Systems Change and Support activities
  • The Individual

  • Qualified accountant is strongly preferred
  • Strong development experience of financial and regulatory reporting solutions with experience of IBM Controller
  • Strong support, development, and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of Insurance regulation e.g IFRS 4 an advantage
  • A strong understanding finance data and principals of data lineage, Master Data Management
  • Credible and confident communicator at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong governance and process experience Ability to work under pressure and / or handling difficult stakeholders / customers
