    08-2019 Job ID : 33025 Job Description

Headline : There’s quite a few .NET roles that’ll have you churning out the same software over and over, just with a different UI.

Thankfully, this ain’t one of em! Location : Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire; Package : up to £45,000 + flexible working + benefits

Amidst a sea of innovative’, dynamic’, and industry leading’ companies in the East Midlands (all looking for developers), this lovely lot have enjoyed a sort of quiet success.

Based in Melton Mowbray, it’s highly unlikely you’ve ever heard of them, but they’re a bunch of happy and contended developers who get to create some interesting software, work with the latest technology, and don’t have to worry about a senior management team breathing down their neck at all hours of the day.

Is it working with Machine Learning or AI or other cool’ buzzwords? No. But there’s a bunch of other roles out there that would allow you to do that and face the pressures and deadlines that come with it.

So, what if you’re a developer who doesn’t want to do that? What if you just fancy a nice, quiet, relaxed role with a lot of autonomy, a great team around you, and a friendly Head of Development who gives you space and works side by side with every other dev in the building?

Well, to be honest, you’d probably apply for this job. I mean, that’s literally what they’re offering, so it makes perfect sense when you think about it.

There’s no long, convoluted list of requirements describing a unicorn, but if you really want to fit in well, you’ll have some of the following

  • Any familiarity with ASP.NET Core 2.0+ will be amazing
  • We’d like it if you knew your way around at least one front end framework (we don’t care which one you know, but we use Vue.js)
  • If you’ve worked with any form of cloud infrastructure (Azure) before, that would really ease your transition into the team as well
  • Good communication skills!! Pair programming is a key part of their workflow, so if you’d prefer to go the lone wolf route, they’re probably not the right fit for you.
  • Sound like a good fit? Pop your CV over and we can have a chat about it I’d really like to tell you more!
