The group publishes Racing Post, a daily national newspaper and runs multiple award-winning websites and apps. Our global B2B division provides a range of content services across bespoke news content, live sports data, video partnerships and much more.
This role will be situated in the Performance Marketing team at Spotlight Sports Group. The role will support both the content and technical SEO strategies across our brands.
As the SEO Analyst, you will be working closely with the SEO Team as well as Editorial and Product teams to analyse, identify growth opportunities and to manage SEO initiatives.
Key accountabilities :
Monitor and analyse organic search traffic across our core products on a daily and weekly basis to identify trends, SEO growth opportunities as well as issues
Making data-led SEO recommendations in a clear and understandable way to help support business decisions
Provide event specific insights by collating and analysing large data sets of internal and external tools and making recommendations to the SEO and product teams to drive more search traffic
Carry out in-depth competitor analysis, topical and link landscape analysis to advise on the best commercial outreach opportunities
Reporting on key performance indicators for organic search
Support Technical SEO audits and provide competitor insights on latest SEO implementations
Keeping up to date on the latest algorithm updates, new tools and best SEO practices
Maintain weekly and monthly performance reports on overall KPIs, explaining variance and seasonality against core performance
Create data-led business projections to forecast traffic levels that help support business decisions
Previous experience in an SEO role
Strong understanding of SEO principles and techniques
Up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practice
Understanding of technical SEO and CRO and their importance
Experience working with platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Excel is a must
Proven track record of managing KPIs and ROI effectively with the ability to analyse results, identify and explain any variance from targets
Familiar working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to own projects end-to-end and clearly plan and communicate with stakeholders
Experience in using platforms such as SEMrush, Screamingfrog, Ahrefs, Majestic and Botify
Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to an audience
Strong knowledge of both domestic and international sports
Knowledge of ASO and experience with working on mobile app submissions
