Divisional Finance Accountant


The production and consolidation of monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets using excel and Hyperion (HFM) based reporting packages.


  • Assist with the consolidation of monthly Hyperion accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows for all companies worldwide and preparation of related reports
  • Preparation of weekly cash reports
  • Assist in the production and consolidation of quarterly forecasts and annual Hyperion budget schedules of all operating companies and preparation of related reports.
  • Maintenance and updating of excel-based internal reporting systems
  • Assistance in the continued development of financial reporting
  • Review of group consolidation packs during the half and full year statutory reporting processes
  • Responsibility in reviewing certain tasks performed by and providing training to the Finance Apprentice in the team
  • Completion of ad-hoc projects as required.

  • Robust experience in Finance / Accounting department
  • Proactivity in identifying problems and opportunities for improvements
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and use initiative to solve problems
  • Attention to detail together with a high degree of accuracy
  • IT literate with experience of use of both Excel (intermediate or advanced) and Word

    Relates mainly with the Divisional Finance Manager, in the provision of financial information both to the Divisional Board and to the Group Head Office.

    Also, relates with Divisional Finance Director and other Divisional Directors as specific needs are required or projects arise.

    Relates with overseas accountants as necessary to resolve matters as required and also to provide any

    assistance needed in the completion / provision of financial information requested.

    Relates with Group Head Office in relation to monthly Hyperion reporting and weekly cash reporting.


  • Knowledge of Hyperion system, particularly HFM & Smart View.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP system (Dynamics AX preferred).

  • High level attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident, inquisitive and willing to challenge data received
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet fixed reporting deadlines
  • Good communicator, both verbal and written.
