This is a fantastic opportunity for a Java Developer (ideally with full stack experience but not essential) who is interested in developing further skills in front-end, back-end, test driven approaches and AWS.

The existing team will help you get up to speed with these skills as quickly as possible.

Elsevier is seeking a software developer to join a new cross-functional Agile team. You will be responsible for delivering technical solutions.

Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver business requirements. Contribute to all aspects for delivery (design, architecture, development, infrastructure and testing).

Follow Continuous Delivery approach and seek continuous improvement. Actively engage in your professional and personal development, stay appraised of software delivery trends and introduce new ideas into the team

If you have the following Technical Skills, we would like to speak to you :

  • Object-oriented programming skills.
  • Ability to refactor code to coherent models.
  • Languages : Java version 8 / 11, JavaScript (proficient), SQL (proficient), HTML (proficient).
  • Experience with Gradle or Maven, with Git and a continuous integration or delivery tooling such as Jenkins
  • Experience with a modern IDE and proficiency in using automated refactoring tools. IntelliJ IDEA desirable.
  • Experience of unit testing and mocking libraries.
