The Role :
We currently have an opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our ORAT Business Change Team at Manchester Airport and support the exciting transformation of Terminal 2.
As Logistics Manager you will provide support in the Familiarisation and trials for the new Terminal 2, landside and airside ORAT activities to ensure the trials are delivered to schedule.
Some of your key responsibilities will also include :
To produce and coordinate a plan and inventory the ORAT FF&E and consumables required for each Trial (Unit / Journey)
Secure storage and manage / Track all the articles required for each Trial.
Produce cost summary for the ORAT FF&E and track against budget
Identify suppliers and procure ORAT FF&E as required in a cost effective and timely manner using the Manchester procurement systems.
Assisting the Trial Lead in ensuring all the deliverables are available for the Trail to proceed.
Managing any deliveries / installs ensuring high safety standards and all approvals are in place.
Managing any routes and deliveries airside, ensuring all approvals are in place.
Liaison with MAN duty teams on the Logistics plans as necessary.
Manager the logistics associated with large volunteer journey trials

Some of the key skills and experience we are looking for are :
Experience and knowledge of organising the logistic activities for large events
Strong safety culture and knowledge of Airport Safety and Security requirements.
Able to balance cost / benefit / risk effectively
Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Commercial & financial acumen, with a demonstrable understanding of the wider commercial environment
Confident in decision making, issue resolution and ability to deliver
Proven ability to present a compelling argument through written, numerical & oral presentation.
Demonstrates robust, decisive and sound judgement
Motivated to build strong stakeholder relationships with strong influencing and negotiating skills
