The successful person will implement the global strategy to build a support network for those with hearing loss through an existing customer network.
The focus of this role will be to develop a quality volunteer programme to support consumers and drive business growth.
You will execute globally defined strategies through multiple avenues including, consumer outreach, advocacy, community education, and Cochlear branding opportunities;
and will focus on volunteer engagement, empowerment and development by establishing strong community and charity relationships, promoting Cochlear to the public and supporting candidates and recipients through volunteer mentoring.
Ensure global Volunteer Engagement processes and programme are successfully delivered locally
Provide a positive volunteer experience through regular communication and training aligned to regional and global strategies
Develop strong business relationships and maintain regular contact with all volunteers, monitoring their activities, providing regular feedback and growing volunteer network capacity and effectiveness
Foster a positive volunteer network environment by recognising volunteer successes and encouraging volunteer empowerment
Co-ordinate and take the lead at volunteer engagement events, including public speaking and consumer engagement projects
Working closely with the Market Access Specialist to support patient advocacy projects
Consumer Engagement and Collaboration
In collaboration with the Professional and Consumer Engagement Specialists (PACES) match appropriate volunteer to consumer candidate
Track and report all volunteer activity accurately in SalesForce.com, to inform regional dashboards
Ensure all volunteer profiles are kept up to date within SalesForce.com and that those details are available to colleagues across sales and marketing teams
Take responsibility for all volunteer attendance at consumer-facing events, including appropriate briefing meetings
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the charity sector to leverage partnership opportunities to achieve join goals
Work closely with EMEA Volunteer Programme Manager to ensure alignment
Give input to the standardisation of a Volunteer Engagement toolkit
Educate stakeholders on Volunteer Engagement Programme and Volunteer Engagement Toolkit
Build strong working relationships with Sales team in order to maximize the value of the programme with professional customers
Compile and deliver monthly metrics to leadership team demonstrating the effectiveness of the volunteer programme
Business / Marketing degree or equivalent work experience
Relevant sales or marketing background with proven track record in developing teams
Engaging communication and presentation skills in order to deliver presentations and training programmes
Managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in gaining customer insight and using this to build engagement
Experience working with process and process tools
Strong IT skills and a working knowledge of CRM systems (ideally Salesforce.com)
Commercially aware ability to analyse and determine appropriate investment to maximize ROI
A strong collaborator and confident team player, comfortable working across different functions in a global organisation
Demonstrates initiative and creativity by proactively generating ideas and concepts
