NHBC has an amazing opportunity for a 6-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Procurement Business Partner to join their Procurement / Finance team based in Milton Keynes.
The role of the Procurement Business Partner will provide comprehensive coordinated procurement services to NHBC for the procurement of goods and services in alignment with NHBC Procurement and Supplier Governance Policy.
To act as a central point of expertise for all matters relating to procurement of the relevant category and as an advocate for Procurement, adopting a professional approach, promoting the policy, process and best practice whilst ensuring regulatory compliance is met.
To work in partnership with internal customers to develop / deliver category strategies that meet the needs of the internal customer whilst ensuring compliance with NHBC policies and procedures.
Deliver value to NHBC through cost efficiencies and improved supplier performance through effective supplier relationship management.
About the role
The key elements of the role will be to drive procurement best practice across NHBC in alignment with regulatory compliance requirements to achieve measurable benefit to NHBC, whilst sustaining and improving the quality of goods and services procured.
The role will lead the end-to-end procurement process from selection of the goods and services, through to supplier relationship management of key suppliers.
The role involves engagement at all levels across NHBC and operating using NHBC’s procurement strategies, policies, procedures, and systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Work with various departments within NHBC to deliver category strategies and plans
Identification of procurement opportunities / initiatives
Lead tender processes
Undertake pre / post contract award supplier due diligence
Conduct commercial / contractual negotiations with suppliers
Understand category spend, contracts and suppliers, ensuring effective supplier and contract management to drive benefit and ensure that NHBC are complying with all appropriate legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure robust contracts are in place with key / high risk suppliers
Liaise with NHBC Legal Counsel to ensure contracts met legal requirements
Lead supplier performance / relationship management reviews with key / strategic suppliers
Support the implementation of cost benefit initiatives
Track and report procurement initiatives and benefits
Develop a process for ongoing supplier risk monitoring and reporting
Maintain detailed and accurate tender and supplier records
The role is strategically important as it is expected to contribute towards the delivery of the Procurement, Finance and Commercial strategies, these include :
Supporting internal initiatives on financial controls and delivering value to NHBC through cost efficiencies
Supporting internal systems and processes to meet regulatory compliance
Undertaking a partnership approach with internal customers to drive initiatives forward with the flexibility to meet the needs of the internal customer whilst ensuring compliance with policies and processes.

Worked in an FCA regulated organisation

£42000.00 - £45000.00 per annum (depending on experience)
Up to 6% performance related bonus.
