The Fixed Income Product Specialist team’s purpose is to help drive third party Fixed Income AUM growth by serving as the link between the investment team and the Client Group.

  • Key accountabilities;
  • 1.Support the London-based Senior Product Specialists in their business development initiatives :

  • Be responsible for updating a number of standard PowerPoint fund presentations and reports on a monthly basis
  • Answer ad-hoc requests and information queries sent by the Client Group, as well as by other internal teams
  • Support the Senior Product Specialists in their collaboration with the RFP team, which will involve completing, reviewing and correcting Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request For Information (RFI) marketing documents, as well as consultant databases
  • Provide support with the creation of bespoke PowerPoint product / solution presentations
  • With all of the above tasks, you will be expected to proactively suggest and carry out enhancements to the processes and documents
  • 1.Progressively drive business development directly (under the supervision of a Senior Product Specialist) through, for example :

  • Managing RFP processes from start to finish (including any resultant beauty parade)
  • Creating original content for Fund marketing campaigns
  • Participating in the development of new investment strategies and fund launches
  • Please note that the role we are recruiting for is intermediate-level; there will be a significant component of support work (as detailed in (1) above) but the successful candidate will in time have the opportunity to drive business development directly, and can expect steady progression.

    Please note that the list in (2) above is not exhaustive, and your own speed of progression will determine the type of projects you are involved in.

    Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • CFA / other technical qualifications a plus
  • Experience

  • 0-2 years financial services experience, ideally with some exposure to fixed income and / or asset management
  • New graduates will be considered, as long as they have undertaken internships in a Finance-related field during their studies.
  • Background in Fixed Income is a plus
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Perfect command of English (written and verbal) is required; other languages are a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PPT, Word and Excel) is required; prior experience working with Bloomberg a plus
  • Ability to write articulately and concisely on technical subjects is a must
  • Competencies

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise, and to maintain a positive attitude in stressful, fast-moving situations
  • Self-starter who needs a minimum level of supervision
  • Able to adapt to various cultures and levels of sophistication
