We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join us at IRC Heathrow as part of the integrated Mental Health & Substance Misuse team to assess the health needs of detainees and provide appropriate interventions.
About the Environment
IRC Heathrow is an immigration centre over two buildings near to Heathrow Airport. At its fullest there are approx. 1000 male detainees and up to 16 females.

Providing healthcare services to detainees means ensuring respect and wellbeing is at the heart of our approach.
In our Offender Care services you'll have the opportunity to work alongside other members of healthcare, Care & Custody staff, Home Office staff and other agencies to assess and support detainees during their stay at the Center.
We work with detainees who have experienced varying levels of trauma, torture or displacement. They may be ex-offenders.
Our job is not to judge, our job is to provide exceptional care with kindness and compassion. Our focus is to develop an understanding of each person’s current presentation and past risk and encourage a recovery-focused approach to achieving their goals.
