    The opportunity

    As a Media Relations Manager, you develop and deliver cut-through news generation that drives B2B PR coverage for Sidetrade to increase awareness and thought leadership.

    You are well-connected with journalists with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories to help frame conversations with relevant media resulting in meaningful coverage in business and industry publications on UK and Benelux territories.

    What You’ll Be Doing

  • Craft PR strategies for driving media coverage, working closely with subject matter influencers, clients and internal thought leaders.
  • Build strong relationships with media and influencers and work with reporters / media to pitch and place stories.
  • Monitor industry and media outlets to assess opportunities for coverage.
  • Compose basic integrated media plans and contribute to plan development processes
  • Develop proposals, releases, customer profiles, newsroom blogs, bylined articles, supporting social content and other press materials
  • Experience required

  • 7-10 years of experience in PR / Communication agency, and / or media relations is a must
  • Proven track record of B2B finance-oriented storytelling, technology industry experience a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK and Benelux media landscape with a specific focus on finance outlets and technology outlets
  • Media databases and social tracking tools are a bonus
  • Speak, write and edit succinctly and compellingly
  • Commitment to deliver clear and precise work is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to interact productively with senior government officials and C-levels.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, be persistent and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to generate new and creative ideas
  • Bachelor’s in journalism, Political Science, international relations, Communications or related field
