Job Description : Role Purpose

Role Purpose

Develop truly exciting and innovative TV and AV brand content concepts and ideas, both proactively and in response to global client briefs.

Sell those ideas to brands, broadcasters and agency teams and be responsible for their delivery

Build strong relationships with clients and account teams in order to accurately understand their challenges and proactively identify and sell-

in exciting and innovative content solutions that solve real client problems.

Bring relationships with most relevant and truly exciting production partners to the various TSL client projects and maintain close creative oversight and guidance throughout the project to delivery creative and production excellence

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ experience and a proven track record in successfully developing and selling digital and linear entertainment properties and IPs to brands active within the content space and to media owners / commissioners from a variety of international markets.

Previous work as head of development or development producer at TV / AV production companies or creative / branded content agencies with multi market client base.

It is important for the candidate to have proven track record of originating and successfully pitching IP-led entertainment properties that brands have funded and ideally that the candidate has also produced or exec produced productions.

During the interview process we will would like to see the candidates presenting to us their ideas and concepts in response to a given brief.

3. Creating and maintaining best in class roster of production partners and talent that keep The Story Lab at the forefront of innovative original content development

Key considerations

The development director reports to the head of brand entertainment and must work closely with the account / activation team to ensure that concepts are deliverable and accurately meet client needs.

The activation team are responsible for project management and day to day relationships with clients, local markets, media owners, producers and talent.

The development director is responsible for proactively developing and convincingly presenting entertainment content concepts and ideas that fit the client’s vision.
