Briefing and Engagement Co-ordinator, up to £35,000 (6 month FTC)
We are looking for a self-starting person to support the Stakeholder and Comms team - a team of 8 who provide strategic comms and stakeholder engagement advice to policy officials across two directorates.
The post holder will support the cross-cutting engagement team with a range of stakeholder engagement and communications activity, with activities including (but not limited to) :
Coordinating cross-cutting briefings for Ministers and senior officials for stakeholder visits or speaking engagements (this involves commissioning information from policy teams across the directorates, drafting some sections and getting clearance from senior officials)
Managing our mailboxes and handling queries from internal and external stakeholders
Collate the monthly stakeholder and media highlights for programme reporting
Support development of the new IDET briefing and correspondence processes (new person starting soon), and provide absence cover for this role
Managing commissions for events and speaking engagements, working with external stakeholders to scope potential engagement
Ad-hoc admin support for the stakeholder team (e.g. collating articles for our quarterly newsletter, admin support for running stakeholder events and supporting the development and roll-out of our new system for recording and tracking engagement activity (potentially through a CRM)).

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Skills (desirable) :
Drafting ministerial briefing and correspondence and PQs.
